COVID-19 News: In a shocking development that shows a lack of global unity in terms of tackling the threats posed by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the World Health Organization has reported that countries in the Americas Region has stopped sharing COVID-19 Data!

Countries in the Americas region include a total of 35 countries including the United States, Canada and Mexico.
It is being speculated that the current American administration is behind the initiative.
The decision to not openly share critical daily COVID-19 statistics such as infection rates, reinfection rates, specific asymptomatic infection rates, COVID-19 hospitalization rates, death rates and testing rates with WHO comes at critical time when SARS-CoV-2 infection rates are rising literally in every geolocation around the world with the emergence of many new highly transmissible SARS-CoV-2 sub-lineages including the EG.5.2 sub-lineages.
Already even genomic sequencings are at the lowest since the pandemic first started, making it difficult for the researchers, virologists and variant hunters to really get a true and realistic perspective of how the SARS-CoV-2 virus is evolving at the moment and what particular variants or sub-lineages have emerged. Importantly, it is making it harder for the exports to see what is happening in specific geolocations around the world.

COVID-19 News reports, a new worrisome SARS-CoV-2 sub-lineage which as now been designated as BA.2.86 (Was previously going to be renamed as BA.6) has emerged with more than 30 mutations on it. Although only three sequences of it have been identified so far in Israel and in Denmark, the WHO has decided to designate it as a variant under monitoring or VUM.

It is also being claimed that many such SARS-CoV-2 sub-lineages are emerging and some are already driving disease severity at specific geolocations but at a miniscule rate as these variants or sub-lineages have not become dominant in circulation yet!
The decision by countries like the United States, Canada and Mexico among the many others to stop sharing COVID-19 data with the WHO does not make any sense especially at this critical juncture with the advent or worrisome SARS-CoV-2 variants and sub-lineages and rising COVID-19 infection and hospitalization rates.
It has been observed that the United States under the current Biden administration has been going all the way out to conceal or downplay the impacts of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in the country. Even COVID-19 death reporting protocols and exces
s death rate reporting have been manipulated involving so many complex strategies that it is no longer possible to get any of these actual and true data anymore.
Even mainstream American media and social media platforms are either not reporting much on COVID-19 issues or are in some cases even banning such reports!
It seems that Americans will never get to know the actual COVID-19 situation in their country especially in the coming Autumn and Winter of 2023 where it is anticipated that the outbreak situation is expected to be the worse the country has ever seen so far!
