Scientists and researchers are worried that the spread of JN.1 variant could be far more extensive in India than thought and more concerning is the fact that more pathogenic strains could emerge in India like in the case of the Delta variant but no one might know about it in time due to the current habit of concealing and lying that individuals in India adopt.

The WHO and other international agencies need to pressure countries like India, China, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain etc to be more transparent with regards to their COVID-19 data and also with regards to genomic surveillance and variant data.
