Medical News: Post Spike Syndrome Identified as Hidden Trigger Behind Mysterious Illnesses
A team of Brazilian researchers is drawing global attention to a newly defined health condition called Post Spike Syndrome (PSS), a severe and often misdiagnosed illness linked to the spike protein from both COVID-19 infections and mRNA vaccines. The spike protein, a known instigator of systemic inflammation, appears to cause a wide array of chronic and disabling symptoms.

COVID-19 Post Spike Syndrome Treatment Brings Shocking Patient Recoveries

Researchers from the D’Or Institute for Research and Education, Emílio Ribas Institute of Infectious Diseases in São Paulo, and a group of independent scientists observed five unusual medical cases that were previously unresponsive to standard treatments.

This Medical News report follows these five patients who had illnesses such as polymyalgia rheumatica, trigeminal neuralgia, drug-resistant epilepsy, interstitial granulomatous dermatitis, and polyneuropathy. All showed dramatic improvements after receiving a specific combination therapy that targeted both the gut microbiome and systemic inflammation.

Gut Health and Inflammation at the Center of Recovery
The treatment protocol included a five-day course of ciprofloxacin to eliminate resistant bacteria, followed by a three-month probiotic regimen to restore essential gut bacteria—especially bifidobacteria, which were found to be nearly absent in PSS sufferers. Patients also received nattokinase (to improve microcirculation and break down spike protein deposits) and ivermectin, known for its antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects.

The results were remarkable. One woman suffering from worsening skin lesions and brain fog since her Pfizer vaccination saw complete symptom resolution after 60 days of treatment. Another patient, with disabling facial nerve pain and two past COVID-19 infections, experienced full remission of her trigeminal neuralgia. Even more astonishing, a patient with weekly seizures that resisted 11 different anticonvulsants saw her symptoms vanish entirely within three weeks of starting treatment.

Spike Protein May Be Fueling a New Kind of Disease
The researchers coined the term “spikeopathy” to describe the spike protein’s dangerous influence on the body’s vascular and immune systems. PSS is believed to be triggered by the body’s reaction to this protein, which spreads through blood vessels, causing vasculitis—inflammation of blood vessels—and affecting multiple organs including the brain, heart, skin, and intestines.

What stands out in these cases is how conventional medical treatments failed, while addressing gut dysbiosis and inflammation brought relief. The researchers believe that restoring a healthy microbiome was key. Gut analysis in these patients showed a complete loss of bifidobacteria, a genus known for maintaining gut lining integrity and regulating immune responses.

A Call for Global Medical Awareness
According to the authors, who have collectively treated over 11,000 patients since the pandemic began, hundreds of similar cases are being misdiagnosed globally. They stress that what once seemed like unrelated symptoms—fatigue, nerve pain, autoimmune flare-ups, and digestive problems—might all be rooted in this overlooked condition.

The researchers urge the medical community to recognize that post-pandemic illnesses may no longer follow traditional patterns. Treatments must evolve with new understandings of the virus, vaccine reactions, and the human microbiome.

The study findings were published in the peer reviewed journal: IDCases.
