RSV News: What They Are Not Telling You About Current Respiratory Surges - New RSV Genotypes At Play And SARS-CoV-2 Induced Immune Dysfunction

RSV News: While there was recently a lot of unnecessary ‘noise’ in Western mainstream media about a surge in respiratory infections and a “mysterious pneumonia” in China and with the WHO even getting involved and asking China for more details, ironically, the same surge in respiratory infections has been unfolding in many other countries since the start of Autumn, with countries like Germany, Spain, France the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and even many states in America witnessing similar surges in respiratory infections. Strangely there has not been much RSV News coverages on what is happening in these Western countries! What is worrying however in this years surge in the cooler season is that more children, infants and the elderly are really getting hit badly with disease severity and many requiring hospitalizations, supplemental oxygen and in some cases need ICU care.

Interesting enough, China, the WHO, the U.S. CDC and even the ECDC are all refusing to acknowledge openly that there are new RSV genotypes at play that have emerged since late 2022 and are still evolving.

Studies have already confirmed the existence of these genotypes with some having worrisome mutations on them but no Health agency is making any public awareness about it.

Studies have shown that the RSV virus has been evolving and is even capable of easily entering into recombinant and reassortant events with the flu virus!

However, it should be noted that there is very little or no proper genomic surveillance of emerging RSV variants and sub-lineages and to make matters worse, the system of classifying RSV virus according to genotype s is outdated and inaccurate.

We are not tracking new mutations on the RSV virus that is enhancing its transmissibility, infectivity, tropism and pathogenesis.

To make matter worse, the medical and scientific community is unwilling to openly admits that exposure to SARS-CoV-2 virus, reinfections, viral persistence and even the vaccines are taking a toll on the human immunity system and that m any are actually walking around with eitherCOVID-19 induced immune dysfunction or COVID-19 induced immunodeficiency. Not only are their various T-Cells either downregulated or are dysfunctional but the various other components of the immune system are completely messed up including the NK cells, immune genes, various signaling pathways and even the complements.
Hence many are susceptible to various opportunistic pathogenic infections.

(There are more than 172 articles in Thailand Medical News repository that covers published peer reviewed studies as to how SARS-CoV-2 is causing immune dysfunction and immunodeficiency. Please use search function of TMN)

Exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 virus is also damaging the robust innate immune system of children, making them not only susceptible to opportunistic infections but increasing the risk of severity during such infections.

We are already even aware that SARS-CoV-2 causes the downregulation of the tumor protective gene p53.

But what most people are unaware is that P53 also plays a role in conferring protective benefits against severity during RSV infections. Hence those that have been exposed previously to SARS-CoV-2 are most likely to experience bad bouts with RSV infections.

I could go on about various other genes and pathways that are either downregulated by SARS-CoV-2 or made dysfunctional and which will render individuals at risk for severity upon infection with the RSV virus. You can find these previous studies in Thailand Medical News’ repository.

The key points that I am trying to make here is that along that urgent research is warranted to identify the new RSV genotypes that are at play in this year ends surge in respiratory infections and also for the medical community to acknowledge previous exposure to SARS-CoV-2 is causing immune dysfunction that is making most people more susceptible to opportunistic infections including RSV and putting them at a risk for disease severity!

Kindly also note that the RSV vaccines are also causing the emergence of newer RSV strains!

Please note that this is but a mere short article ..I will be releasing a more detailed article on the same subject in a few days’ time and also include a few study findings that are going to be published related to the same subject.
