COVID-19 News: As Expected, XBB.1.5 Surge Quickly Fizzling Out in UK, US And Elsewhere. Biggest Threats Are the New East Asian Variants!
COVID-19 News - XBB.1.5 Fizzling Out  Jan 22, 2023  4 months ago
COVID-19 News: While there has been so much undue commotion about the XBB.1.5 variant generated by certain 'virologists' and variant trackers especially one from Canada seeking fame and also by a certain American Chinese drama queen ‘epidemiologists’ from the U.S., latest emerging data is showing that the XBB.1.5 surge is gradually 'dying off' in the United States, United Kingdom and also elsewhere.

Despite being more transmissible as a result of having enhanced binding capabilities to the ACE2 receptors and being more immune evasive, the XBB.1.5 variant it did not seem to be more pathogenic or did it lead to an increase in disease severity. Off course most in the vulnerable groups (ie the aged above 65 years, those with existing comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, heart and kidney issues, the obese, the immunocompromised) were susceptible to being hospitalized and also at an increased risk of mortality but they would be so to any SARS-CoV-2 variant or even any other respiratory pathogen!
Many of the garbage Western media and unqualified ‘science writers’ in the last three weeks had been fearmongering about the XBB.1.5 variant while promoting the stupid name Kraken to describe the XBB.1.5 variant.
Current data shows that the XBB.1.5 variant spread is slowing down not only in the United States and United Kingdom but also elsewhere. This pattern was consistent with the also the XBB and XBB.1 variants that only surged for a short while.
Even in the United Kingdom, COVID-19 infections have gone down tremendously in the last 7 days.
Thailand Medical New had already stated that the XBB.1.5 will not be much of threat in our earlier COVID-19 News coverages.
Rather we are warning that the East Asian variants from China and Japan are more of a bigger threat once they get to the West.,-china,-japan,-etc-are-the-bf-variants-at-play
These East Asian variants consist of BF.7.14, BF.7,15, BF.5.1, BF.5.2, BA.5.2.48, BA.5.2.49.,-that-joins-other-dangerous-east-asian-variants-bf-7-14,-bf-5-1-and-bf-5-2
A new BA.5.2.50 sub-lineage was also discovered in China.
Some stupid ‘virologists’ have been making claims that these BF and BA.5.2 variants have been in circulation in the past and that we have immunity protection against them as a result of past exposure! All these new East Asian variants have just emerged and spot unique mutations and already data is showing that past exposure to the BA.5 variants or even the bivalent boosters do not offer protection against these new BF and BA.5.2 subvariants and sub-lineages!,-ba-5-2-48,-ba-5-2-49-are-new,-past-exposure-to-ba-5-will-not-he
The situation in China and Japan has shown that these new East Asian variants are causing more disease severity and are driving up pneumonia and ARDs along with lung damage!
Another subvariant that is also concerning emerging from East Asia is the new CM.8.1 sub-lineage with Orf1b: N1790D and Orf10: A28V mutations that is spreading in the Philippines and now also starting to spread slowly elsewhere globally.
Focus should also be paid to the new BA.5.3.5 sub-lineages appearing in South Africa
