COVID-19 Research: Belgium researchers have in a new study found and confirmed that sperm quality is impaired for months for some people after recovery from COVID-19.

The main aim of the study was to assess the contagiousness of sperm and its influence on fertility after recovery from COVID-19 infection.
The cohort study conducted at the University Hospital Antwerp-Belgium involved one hundred twenty Belgian men who had recovered from proven COVID-19 infection.
Sperm quality was assessed using the World Health Organization criteria. All DNA damage to sperm cells was assessed by quantifying the DNA fragmentation index and the high-density stainability. Finally, antibodies against SARS-CoV2 spike-1 antigen, nuclear and S1-receptor binding domain were measured by Elisa and chemilumenscent microparticle immunoassays, respectively.
The
COVID-19 Research finding showed that SARS-CoV-2 RNA was not detected in semen during the period shortly after infection nor at a later time.
However, mean progressive motility was reduced in 60% of men tested shortly (<1 month) after COVID-19 infection, 37% of men tested 1 to 2 months after COVID-19 infection, and 28% of men tested >2 months after COVID-19 infection.
The study findings however alarmingly showed that mean sperm count was reduced in 37% of men tested shortly (<1 month) after COVID-19 infection, 29% of men tested 1 to 2 months after COVID-19 infection, and 6% of men tested >2 months after COVID-19 infection.
Interestingly the severity of COVID-19 infection and the presence of fever were not correlated with sperm characteristics. Even men who were asymptomatic or only had mild conditions still suffered low sperm and motility rates.
However, there were strong correlations between sperm abnormalities and the titers of SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody against spike 1 and the receptor- binding domain of spike 1, but not against nucleotide, in serum. High levels of anti-sperm antibodies developed in three men (2.5%).
The study findings also showed that semen is not infectious with SARS-CoV-2 at 1 week or more after COVID-19 infection (mean, 53 days). However, couples with a desire for pregnancy should be warned that sperm quality after COVID-19 infection can be suboptimal. The estimated recovery time is 3 months, but further follow-up studies are under way to confirm this and to determine if permanent damage occurred in a minority of men.
The study findings were published in the peer reviewed journal: Fertility A
nd Sterility (Elsevier).

Thailand
Medical News had covered research from Chinese scientists as early as February 2020, during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, warning that SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus could cause male fertility issues but a stupid Italian journalist and ignorant non-credible American fact-checkers employed facebook labelled our research coverage as fake news then.

Since then more than 37 studies published in peer reviewed medical journals have confirmed that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus causes a variety of fertility related issues in males who had contracted the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
There also many studies that shows that COVID-19 infections can cause erectile dysfunctions in males.

One study showed that men may be six times more likely to develop brief or long-term erectile dysfunction after contracting the virus.

Many other studies have documented a litany of post-infection health issues that impact sex, either independently or in concert: inability to have or maintain an erection, damage to the testes, testicular pain or swelling, inability to achieve orgasm, low testosterone levels, and mental health issues.
However, a previous study published in the U.S. CDC Journal: Emerging Infectious Diseases did show that a male still had infectious SARS-CoV-2 virus in his semen 11 weeks after infection.

However, despite whatever research, there are no findings that show the COVID-19 disease causes males to turn into drag queens or ‘lady boys’. The growing phenomenon in Thailand could be perhaps attributed to growing economic issues and unemployment, laziness among Thai males looking for easy ways to make money coupled with the high demand for lady boys by psychologically deranged male perverts from Western countries especially the United Kingdom and Australia. Other possible reasons for Western males obsession with Thai ladyboys could simply be that more Western ladies especially in the United Kingdom could be getting too obese and losing their feminity etc…COVID-19 lockdowns could be a contributing cause for that! (All these deserve detailed studies which I am sure a lot of stupid Western governments will fund especially the Netherlands!)
