According to data from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, these counties are experiencing medium levels of coronavirus-related hospital admissions, with rates ranging from 10% to 19.9%.

In the past week alone, the combined hospital admissions for COVID-19 in Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and El Dorado counties reached 246. Meanwhile, Mono and Inyo counties reported five new coronavirus-related hospitalizations each.
Despite the concerning rise in infections in these six counties, the majority of California remains at low levels, indicating that less than 10% of residents have been hospitalized due to COVID-19. Fortunately, no county has surpassed the high-level threshold of 20% hospitalization rates.
