There is a strange phenomenon being reported by physicians in South Africa, Denmark, Germany, Vietnam and even the United Kingdom that many who had initially been infected with the various
Omicron variants such as BA.1, BA.1.1 and the BA.2, despite testing negative like days or weeks later and deemed as ‘recovered’ are developing health and medical conditions especially weeks later and many are succumbing to fatal outcomes. Its not the typical Long COVID conditions that are usually being witnessed! Urgent investigations and research is warranted into these occurences.
Many were described as only having mild symptoms upon infection and were basically healthy adults who did not appear to have any serious medical issues till the onset of these new medical conditions.
Many developed conditions like unexplained breathlessness, extreme fatigue and body pains and in some cases high fevers weeks after having recovered from infection and most of the fatal outcomes were heart failures, strokes, a very high incidence of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) and organ failures especially that of the liver and kidneys. Many also complained of gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea, gastric reflux and diverticulitis was found in some.
Physicians are also puzzled by the rapid deterioration of such cases upon onset of medical conditions.
As strange or weird as it may sounds, the incidences of such seemingly healthy individuals dying in their sleep which were later attributed to sudden heart failures are actually rising and are not some urban myths!
We were told that the Omicron variants were mild and that vaccinations prevented disease severity and decreased the risk of mortality but there needs to be an urgent investigation into the excess deaths since Omicron debuted in November 2021 and researchers need to study and see what is truly happening.
We are definitely missing something major here and we also need to focus on the pathogenesis modes of these new variants and also to further study how it affects the immune system and other cellular pathways and also about viral persistence.
Already certain preliminary data emerging from South Africa, Germany, Denmark and even the United Kingdom with regards to excess death rates weeks after the start of the Omicron surges is indicating a worrisome trend.
If proven to be true and a strong correlation linked between the Omicron variants surges and excess deaths is established, then we are all doomed as the coming BA.2 waves and also the emerging BA.2 sub-variants are going to be affecting many more as already it has been established that the BA.2 variant is 30 percent more transmissible than the original Omicron variant and worse, the emerging BA.2 variant and emerging BA.2 subvariants, due to enhanced conformational structural foldings, are even more adapt at withstanding environmental conditions and remain infectious for even longer periods of time.
It is now being speculated that the new Omicron variants are not only more adapted for prolonged airborne transmission but also, they can now even be even classed as being water borne and food borne pathogens as there are already emerging evidence that the virus can spread by contaminated food supplies plus there
is ample evidence that the virus can enter and affect the gastrointestinal tract of the human host despite contradicting claims by Western experts!
The current trend of judging the new variants as to whether they are mild or not based on the conditions they immediately give rise to in infected individuals is wrong as perhaps the new variants are much evolved at literally ‘switching off’ the human host immune responses and defenses hence we do not see serious symptoms or hospitalizations initially until it causes sufficient damage weeks or months later.
With studies showing that Omicron breakthrough infections weaknes the immune system and with more data showing that reinfections and infections are going to be the new norm, we are really in for a dangerous ride.

Whatever the situation may be, researchers need to urgently study and address these current observations and get their papers published so that the public may know what is really going on.
