Belgium researchers have announced that a new recombinant variant involving the Omicron variants
BA.2 and BA.1.1 has emerged in Belgium and is slowly gaining predominance in circulation.
The study team led by Professor Dr Geert A Martens, Head of molecular diagnostics at AZ Delta General Hospital, Roeselare-Belgium has been paying attention to the new recombinant variant since it was first identified around the 13th of February 2022. From an initial detection of 14 genomic sequencings bearing the same genomic structure and mutations, the numbers have short up exponentially in the last 48 hours according to new data provided by the Belgium FPS Agency For Health.
The team led by Professor Martens observed continued transmission over a period of 4 weeks since Feb 13, 2022 (index case EPI_ISL_10892048) of an Omicron-like SARS-CoV-2 lineage with a failure to be classified by Pangolin (None (Pango v.3.1.20 2022-02-28), Omicron (Unassigned) (Scorpio)) in the region of Roeselare, Belgium.
Detailed alignment data by Nextclade indicate that these isolates represent a background of BA.2 but with parts of ORF1a (2832-10029) and ORF1b(160464-18163)) originating from BA.1.1 (as shown by presence of ORF1b:Q866R typical for BA.1.1) recombined into the BA.2 background.
Importantly there is evidence of independent clonal evolution, as shown by a unique mutation present in all independent isolates of this novel recombined strain (ORF1a:R1628C). The resulting BA.2/BA.1.1 recombined linage is thus characterized by presence of both ORF1a:R1628C (unique) and ORF1b:Q866R (derived from BA.1.1) amino acid substitutions.

Medical News has already been sounding warnings that the Omicron variants especially the BA.2 variant are fast evolving and constantly spawning newer mutations and also seeking out the right other viral strains to recombine with… to give rise to ‘breeds’ with the right viral fitness and properties to combat the vaccines, therapeutics being used and also the host factors.

On another note, another 13000 sequencings that were found in France, Germany, UK, Spain and elsewhere in Europe and also in Japan have also showed yet a nearly identical variant but originating from the BA.1.1 sub-lineage and bearing the mutation ORF1B:Q866R (nsp12).

It should be noted that the Japanese subvariants also carry the spike mutation I233V that is close to the I1221Tm
utation found in the Hong Kong BA.2.2 subvariant that is currently causing an increase in disease severity, hospitalizations and also increased mortality there.

A few single or few sequencings found in Germany, Vietnam, South Korea, United States, Brazil and Thailand in the last 72 hours have also showed newer BA.2 variants bearing besides many other mutations, the same spike mutation I1221T!
Thailand Medical News hypothesis is that in the next few weeks, we will see surges of new BA.2 subvariants in Europe, United States, Brazil, In South-East Asia and East Asia and maybe elsewhere but with increased disease severity upon infection and a rise of both hospitalizations and mortality and reinfections will be a common occurrence coupled with even co-infections with other emerging minor subvariants. Even a previous infection with the original BA.2 variant might not even offer any protection against its own emerging subvariants! We also strongly believe that ADE, viral imprinting, ‘original antigenic sin’ etc will all slowly start coming into play with the newer emerging subvariants.
So for those living in denial and assuming that the COVID-19 pandemic is over, or that COVID-19 will becoming endemic or that all the new variants will be mild….look out! The rest of 2022 is going to be fun and we have not even touched about long COVID and our predictions that most who have been exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its emerging variants whether via asymptomatic or mild infections or been exposed to the spike proteins by other means will ultimately not make it through 5 to 8 years the max, if not earlier… upon exposure. They will succumb to an array of health conditions ranging from heart failures, strokes, CVST occurrences, organ failures, sepsis, fatal secondary opportunistic infections and accelerated aggressive cancers!
The American DARPA agency, Fauci, Gates, Dazak, Obama, creatin Democrats and the rest controlling the COVID-19 narratives from the West along with the top in command at the communist party in China and the Chinese intel agency should be proud of the bioweapon they jointly created and released to sabotage each other in a mission that was foiled and backfired terribly and of which the world will never know much about as it would be a embarrassment to both sides! It is also unfortunately that they have lost control of this bioweapon as they misunderstood its own capability to evolve rapidly in different scenarios! The truth will eventually come out!
PS: We do not need any bastard UK specialist who are under the payroll of those controlling the COVID-19 narratives to validate any of our findings and articles. They should focus on what is happening in the UK right now and what will be happening there soon if they are that capable!
UPDATES: 1913 Hrs (Thailand).....Sources At UKHSA have confirmed that the new recombinant variant of BA.2 and BA.1.1 spotting the signature mutations have also bee identified in UK and are fast spreading and could be possibly be responsible for the increase in hospitalizations seen since the Ist of March 2022.
